Asking to not have my face scanned by TSA makes me feel like a criminal. Maybe it’s all in my head. Feels intentional for compliance.
I will continue to opt-out.

The TSA lady was cool about me opting out. The American Airlines lady looked at me like I’d just grown an extra head when I opted out of facial recognition *at the gate to board the airplane*. It really shouldn’t be there indeed.
You’ve already gone through security. Facial scan at the gate is way overkill.
I just wish more people knew it was optional
I thought about telling the people next to me. I will do that from now on.
