Interesting. I guess we'll see how this plays out.

My 20 paid relays are unaffected. I wouldn’t know about this spam attack if not for the screenshots in my feed.

Still, might be worth revisiting my Reward-4-Report idea

I still use a combo of free and paid. Well see how bad this gets.

Thats an intresting idea though.

Your P2R thing. Not the spammer.

Although I dont disagree with the spammer thats its an issue. Whoever it is makes a valid point.

Was inevitable and finding a solution was going to be necessary at some point, its unrealistic to have a protocol like this and expect all of its participants to be altrustic and good actors.

I think the paid relay stuff will ultimately be the solution but who knows.

Yeah the spammer makes a valid point. Paied relays seem to be unaffected so far.

Don't use global. It's useless anyway.

My global is pretty well filtered on onyx / amethyst. So I disagree there.

I block some spam on global, but only go there to fetch new plebs to follow. My feed is just ppl I follow.

Thats how I use it. The feed.nostr.band filters really helped my global feed and amethysts feature to turn off relays in your global is key imo. Wish more clients did that.

Those are good options, haven't thought about disabling relays from global.

Who wrote that? Where?

The URL is on the spam bots now but here.
