Maybe, but to me it looks like cry babies plugging their ears and screaming. Besides, fees are dog shit cheap compared to what they'll be once people are actually using the network. The 'spam' they're complaining about (however one defines that on something like #Bitcoin) will be so miniscule in comparison.
Alas, node how you wish. I prefer to defend the open network for what it is. I don't want to go down the road of picking and choosing which transactions I think are spam. Plus, you're only screwing yourself on fee estimates as far as I can tell.
