A relay is what you connect to so that your notes are broadcasted and so that you can read notes. If we share the same relay then we can read each others notes.

So… right now we’re both connected to a relay? That’s how we’re reading each others stuff? But maybe it’s a free relay? So how can I see Jack Dorsey’s stuff too then?
I see you’re using the Damus relay. I am too.
So now I understand it a bit better. Any high quality relays you can suggest to newbies? Also I’m assuming you can only pay in Bitcoin?
If you click on my profile page, and then relays, you can view my relays. There will be a little “bitcoin” icon beside them which shows that they are paid relays. I’ve only ever paid in bitcoin.
