And payment via cash by delivery is still quite common here. So you can use address of hotel, pub, and whatever just say I'm Mr. Smith, here is 100...
But of course it is being used less and less. Everyone has card in Apple/Google Pay and uses it for buying everything including bubble gum.

I think the anonymity of a phone number is quite a luxury of ours. Western countries don't have that anymore, burner phone or how is it called.
