It's so hard watching my friends who reject bitcoin struggle in life. Worked to the bone, no time for family or rest and still barely making it. This was my experience for most of my life also.

It's no wonder we fantasize about escaping so much, they know they are trapped but the way out seems like it can only exist in a fantasy.

I can't even bring it up anymore without them rolling their eyes and glossing over.

Bitcoin will succeed with or without them, but the real challenge for the plebs will be how to get people to make a better choice without them even knowing it.

It sucks to say, but they deserve it. Especially if they had you as family / close friend to learn from and ask about.

You should have no pity, especially if you tried to teach them.

Focus on your own prosperity, which ultimately greatly helps them as well. And plus you will be happier and joyful doing this.

People are pushed so much FUD from media about the one thing that can help them out from getting crushed by the fiat system. They're keeping people imprisoned by controlling their beliefs, and when we actually try to help, we actually look like the bad guys.

I'm struggling with this now. I don't have nearly the amount I would like to have, but I cannot help my friends or family to realize this. It took years and I finally got my wife on board (probably to shut me up), and my mom (probably the same)

They will understand all you did for them in time. The greatest love is to do hard things in the midst of no thanks or gratitude. Continue to be the silent defender, stay humble and stack sats. It's not the amount of sats, but the knowledge and understanding of them that sets you free.

Struggle is struggle and bitcoin alone aint changing that. The same bills need to be paid and rent/mortgage and utilities still want dollars.

I'm glad the struggle isn't one of real resources, but the distribution of the abundance we can already create. While true rent/utilities/etc still want dollars today, and that keeps the illusion of scarcity going, one day they will realize they can share in a more fair distribution of humanities prosperity with an honest money like bitcoin.

None of that matters to people who can barely feed themselves. Those who are actually struggling. The ones who's paycheck is gone the day after getting paid. That is struggle. Being unable to 'keep up with the Joneses' so to speak, is not struggle.

Fyi, dont take anything I am saying to mean I am opposed to btc. I am very much in favor of it. But it does not fix everything contrary to narrative, and there are many who dont have the means to buy a single sat.

Wise words and very true, but without an incentive to fix those problems it's hard to find the motivation to start. I think one of the main drivers of poverty is permission.

Even if bitcoin never went up in value, it improves the ability of those who have time, energy, and intelligence to exchange that real wealth for a fair representation, without a gatekeeper. Not a simple problem to solve, but the combination of value and freedom can be an effective tool for change.

Oh disagreement other than poverty being driven by permission. Can only speak for myself, but my current state of financial ruin was initiated by my refusal to 'ask permission' in the form of a 'vaccine' mandate exception and effectively being blacklisted from my career of choice. Sometimes poverty is out of ones control and comes from doing the right thing.
