Well, technically speaking... mexican screenplay writers did :P
Jack originally floated the idea of hosting the first Nostr conference in Nosara, Costa Rica because it’s name was close to Nostr. It ended up not being an ideal location for various reasons but Costa Rica stuck as the general location which led to the birth of Nostrica as the name for the conference.
Not sure if I got the events in the right order but that’s the general background.
