Wow Mike love this it’s been a dream to mine bitcoin onboard with our excess solar. We have both 12v and 24v onboard what would recommend for a simple setup that’s reliable and easy for a novice?

My only previous experience of home mining has been nerd mining:
which are unable to join pools, so they are more vanity miners.
This might be of interest, it uses the BM1370 ASIC from the S21 Pro miner:

It seems to have a lot of hash power for the power consumption and may be worth the investment over time.
Not sure about hooking it up to 12V or 24V, sorry.
