Evaluating #MapleAI as a replacement for #Grok, because even Grok is powerful and easy to use, I know that my history will be archived and later used to generate a social score, which will affect my permissions in society.

Maple doesn't, can't, spy on you. It's much more suitable for home use. Assuming it meets the bar, I will have my wife migrate.

At some point I can imagine a "young adult / kid mode" where the father trains the AI as to what bounds are acceptable for those still in the household.

Currently using through the browser (Vanadium) on #GrapheneOS. Very minimal, but solid foundation. I look forward to an OSS app that can be installed directly via Obtainium and, ideally, #Accrescent.

Now is the time to move away from space LLMs into something more sovereign.

I'm using Maple and Chatgpt. As of the current moment, I have found ChatGPT to be significantly better than Maple in terms of its answers. Keeping Maple for questions that I don't want entered into Altman's Borg database. Using ChatGPT for questions for my fiat business.

Where did you find that? Like very specific and answers that rely an very current data?

I tried asking a bunch of specific finance questions. Maple gave generalities that I already knew; ChatGPT gave loads of specifics that I wasn't aware of, and helped me to generate an extra idea. I will keep trying Maple though, I know they're releasing more models there.

I can imagine for those specific use cases only the more sophisticated ones you have to pay for are suitable.

Have tried Llama, though I know that it's behind the others. (I think it even told me it only had info up to 2023.) I can't remember the others I tried, though it was after their recent announcement of including Deepseek and some more advanced models.

I have only just DL’d Maple to trial alongside ChatGPT as well. Was thinking the only way to test was double entering.

I prefer duck.ai no login required
