How much does a bitaxe cost?
I got it for $140 from solosatoshi, and ordered a second once I set this one up.
I'd avoided any side of the mining so long at this point it's more for my fun and tinkering than profitability.
So roughly 170K sats
I understand that. For fun and tinkering. Looks really cool!
I'm digging it. After all the hiccups I've had trying to run even my shiddy laptop core node this was shockingly easy. And kind of cool to see a perspective I haven't yet.
I really need to try again to spin up a prettier node with a Start 9 or umbrel but... I've had difficulties in the past... Next slow endeavor.
Which type of fan did you get on the bitaxe?
For start9 you tried running bitcoin core on an SSD?
A... Pre built one from solosatoshi. I'm flattered at your presumption of my perceived capabilities... But I assure you they are barely existent.... 🫡🫂
For my laptop core node I have an SSD over USB for the block data, and the one umbrel raspi I tried to set up kept bricking at trying to install apps. I just haven't had the time or patience to devote to trying to reflash and start from scratch.
