Watched Prometheus (2012), a sci fi horror film directed by Ridley Scott. After finding ancient star maps, a team of scientists travel to a distant planet aboard the Prometheus. They are trying to uncover human beginnings. Their mission quickly becomes a terrifying fight for survival when they encounter predatory alien lifeforms and the remains of an advanced civilization. This film is a philosophical prequel to Alien (1979). It has themes of death, creation and the dangers of an inquiring mind. Many parallels can be made with Alien. Lots of practical special effects were used: the engineers with prosthetics, many sets were built, the C section scene. CGI was used a lot to improve special effects. Even so, the film doesn’t seem dated at all. Ridley Scott used the technology well. The story starts slowly, like all great horror films. The suspense is built quickly as we uncover the plot. The movie tries to explore what responsibility our creator owe us and if meaning can actually be found. This is a masterpiece. I really enjoyed it. Watched it many times. 9/10 #nodereviews

I didn’t like it the first time I saw it because I found the characters to be kind of dumb. But once I filtered that thought I really love the depth of the themes this movie covers.
