What is happening on #Nostr is a tectonic shift in the way the world is organized. Moving the power from walled gardens who monetize us/our information back to us has profound implications.
Glad to be here with you all!

Let the record show, my first decentralized comment was to Jeff Booth about tectonic shifts moving us beyond walled gardens to a better future. Feeling hopeful.
Glad to see you here, man. BTW, your profile pic looks broken. Can you check that you used a valid URL?
How long until network effects kick in and Twitter dies..? π
Hi Jeff - out of interest have you read the age of surveillance capitalism by Shoshana Zuboff? Weighty read but well worth it. One summary is via 3 questions she poses around the landscape - "who knows? who decides? Who decides who decides?" As you say #nostr could be significant on redressing the balance of some of those.
Would be interested in your thoughts on who bears the cost of running this - and in which ways? Given no such thing as a free lunch etc
Welcome to nostr #[1]!
