Sparrow is the metaphorical bird that helps me escape the sometimes limiting nature of our past associations with our own names.
But the trick has been allowing them both to exist. I am a real person, and proud of my Earthly family name, and I am also a spiritual being capable of crafting fantasy into reality. This is the wizardry, magic and medicine of a fulfilling life.

Much of my life has contained drama over names. I adopted the name Medicine Man gave me for several reasons.
For one, the general profile of a person who is given this name fit me…well…since we’re talking birds…like a dovetail joint. :) The name fit me extremely well, but it was an important gateway of knowledge through which I needed to pass to confirm something that happened 53 months prior.
