I just signed up for the Grand Traverse ski mountaineering race and, of course, my teammate bailed on me. I’ve got until the 15th to get a new partner sorted out.
If you don’t know the race, it’s basically an overnight haul from Crested Butte to Aspen on skis. Lots of climbing, lots of being out in the dark, and a ton of elevation. The race is about 40 miles. My only goal is to finish. I’m moderately fit at best, my claim to fame is running an 8:30 beer mile, so I’m not out here chasing podiums.

I love all the various hats that I wear, but of all the skills I have practiced and learned in my life, #manualtherapy and #structuralintegration have allowed me to perform them to my maximum potential.
I was debilitated from back pain in my teens and 20’s, and I was a broken and angry kid who ran away from home at 17. Finding my way, and trying to support myself, and eventually a family took me into the depths of depression and pain. I needed to find my way out, and I DID!
It was one hell of a journey, and I have a lot to teach and show for it. Trauma is not all pain, sometimes it is years of repressed joy and pleasure fighting to come out, and learning how to express myself and stand tall in my body has brought me an abundance joy and wealth to share.

I really like the idea of everything being a 1-10 sat transaction. It should be negligible, but enough to require some effort. It makes sense to me, in theory, but how to build that…not a clue.
If the argument that the barrier to entry into the this much needed field is far too high and prohibitive for the bulk of the work required, I would agree.
But we still need less idiots and more intelligent caregivers.
