I've got a situation at work I'm going to nip in the bud when I return in-person after 7 months away. I see a lot of New Years' posts about how we're all supposed to make nice with people that wronged us in 2025. I understand that sentiment, and I usually take that approach. This year I am not accepting apologies that were never given. I am going to burn some fucking bridges. If some of them would like to rebuild bridges by acknowledging, and apologizing for, their transgressions, then I'm open to that. However, right now my focus is making sure I have enough fuel with me that the entire bridge collapses so they feel the shock of the cold waters below.

The ingredients are dirt cheap. Bread flour, salt, warm water, yeast, olive oil (+ optional toppings). With a little elbow grease and love, somehow these basic ingredients turn into something I would pay $15-$20 dollars for.

I became a father in 2025. Trying to navigate my exit from fiat work in 2026/2027.
What gives me pause? If I didn't have my fiat corporation's health insurance, then I would be ~$3 million in debt from the life-saving surgeries my child needed. We're all very happy and healthy now that we are over that hump & healed...physically, but it was traumatic and the hardest year of my life. It has also been the most joyful year of my life. Absolute rollercoaster.
I was worried pre-baby how I would manage less than 7-8 hours of continuous sleep. Now my energy comes from a seemingly divine source of purpose to nurture my family. I made great strides in becoming less selfish in 2025, but I still have so far to go.
