Sharing something personal…

so you get the chance to better understand me.

I fucking hate Xmas.

I’m traumatized.

Every. Single. Year.

On that day…

All my friends were with their moms. Their dads. Their families.

Exchanging gifts.

Giving & receiving love.

Meanwhile…

Every. Single. Fucking. Xmas.

I was alone & lonely.

No mom.No dad.No fucking family.

No shitty presents.

No love.

Just me.

Sitting alone in a nearby trash McDonald’s…

crying.

Without money.Without food. Without warmth.

That leaves scars.

Anyway…

Today I feel proud & deeply grateful.

Because on this very day

I built my own family.

A real one.

A loving one.

And today I get to create an epic day for my daughter…

so she never has to experience what I did.

That’s healing.

That’s breaking cycles.

That’s real wealth.

Stay blessed & grateful my friends.

What a beautiful day to be alive.

fuck xmas tho, just some pr campaign to sell stuff, and before that, was just an excuse to pretend that it's about jesus when it's pretty clear in the bible that nailing trees to the floor and decorating them with baubles is retarded.

but that's quite apart from coming up from nothing and going somewhere. i'm still not with a family myself, and spent a lot of the last 12 years homeless in the cold too, but then maybe somehow that let me find God for real.

so, bless you and your family, and i hope your time off with them is rewarding for everyone. 🧡

anyhow, i'm sure you are frantically busy preparing to make sure that oma and the hubby and the kids are all amused well and recreate themselves some over the coming days.

everything is going nicely here, i fixed the lock on the front door, sealed up the roof and access to the attic, i've got a water collection setup now and right on time the rain has started. i can't wait for the silly season to be over so i can get the goddamn mains water hooked up. i like the solid toilet and i don't really care that the only liquid in the WC is pee but it irks me a lot to not be able to wash my dishes properly, or have a shower. well, i can have baths, even! when the water is there, i can turn on the water heater and finally melt.
