I've got a situation at work I'm going to nip in the bud when I return in-person after 7 months away. I see a lot of New Years' posts about how we're all supposed to make nice with people that wronged us in 2025. I understand that sentiment, and I usually take that approach. This year I am not accepting apologies that were never given. I am going to burn some fucking bridges. If some of them would like to rebuild bridges by acknowledging, and apologizing for, their transgressions, then I'm open to that. However, right now my focus is making sure I have enough fuel with me that the entire bridge collapses so they feel the shock of the cold waters below.
