the UN Security Council had an emergency meeting after Iran's response attack on Israel.

Previously in response to Israel's attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus, the US argued that we can't be sure who did it, blocked any condemnation, leaving no legal path for Iran to seek damages. Even though everybody knows who did it and Israel even explained why they did it. The UN did not condemn it.

In this meeting, most nations called for restraint by both Iran and Israel.

In response to Iran's very heavily signalled an announced military response that was far less than proportionate and more symbolic, double and triple checked against the Geneva conventions that it was legal, to provide minimal deterrance against future attacks, that strictly targeted military sites, the US condemns it in the strongest terms, claiming Iran's intent was to cause significant damage and death, pointing to the 300 mutitions used (even though most analysis shows Iran was trying to overwhelm the Iron Dome with all those cheap drones, not to cause mass damage with them). It goes on to warn Iran not to attack the US.

Russia point out it's regret that an emergency meeting wasn't called after Israel's strike on the consulate, that the UN continues to fail to respond to regular attacks by Israel against Syria and Lebanon, and that if the UN keeps ignoring these situations then appeals to constraint become futile. Points out the West declined to recognize international law about the Consulate bombinb, and if a Western nation was hit it would be very different.

BTW: International law is being violated all over the place by the West. Syria has appealed to the UN I think hundreds of times about it's country being invaded by the US and Israel and it being attacked by them, and is always ignored.

The fact that the West ever dares to bring up international law is embarrassing to me.

lets fucking go, mike.
