It seems to lack context. You can drink 4 liters of water but that can actually dehydrate you by flushing out your electrolytes. I don’t think people making these recommendations know what they’re talking about. What if your diet is full of hydrating foods like fruit? Do you still need 2 liters?

Exactly what I think. Do the juice and coffee count as well? (considering they're composed with water)
