Idk how many you really need, I paid for a bunch. But turn off the global feed from all public relays, then go to your global feed (now supplied only by paid relays) & you can actually find decent content & new people. Global (supplied by public relays) has otherwise been completely unusable for me.

You can also just find people by looking through other people's follow lists, but browsing new posts seems a bit more natural.

Hmm configuring public relays is new to me (blocking global feeds, filtering etc). Is there a manual / article for that?

Use #umbrel

It’s basically one click install.

Hope it helps.

No need to do this at all, doesn't help with anything except maybe backing up your own data (if that)

It does a backup of all you activity.

Instead of relying on public relays to do it for you.

This enable you to save all your past content in a safe box per say.

If that data is censored in other relays , you will always have it because it’s stored on your local relay.

Correct me if I’m wrong. 🫡

Yes, it's supposed to work as a backup, but it also doesn't really help with the day to day user experience, & you still need to manage connections to other relays.

You see the 4 little icons below eaxh relay. If you tap the world under each one you toggle "global" on or off. As simole as that 😊

Excuse my typos, had to turn off autocorrect because it's buggy

Got it, thank you!
