The logo on the App I have has the white background. If that helps any in your decision making πŸ˜‚ πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

The other one is being brought to Nostr from Mastodon by those annoying Mastodon bridge relays.

How can you ask for an account verification just using the name and a profile picture? Npub is the way.

I hear that, but how would they prove they are legit with their npub? Like what would I ask them to do to prove themselves?

Feel like I’m missing something here but no idea what it is πŸ˜…

nostr:npub1xnc64f432zx7pw4n7zrvf02mh4a4p7zej3gude52e92leqmw8ntqd43qnl suggested trusting the one with most follows by people I trust, which could work but could also be misleading since I don’t know if they were misled.

Sorry very much, my fault, I didn't see you mentioned them at the beginning of the sentence. I was thinking you was asking us for a feedback just using the picture!

This is a case where the nip-05 helps as verification tool: nostr:nprofile1qqsvnx99ww0sfall7gpv2jtz4ftc9v6wevgdd7g4hh7awkpfvwlezugpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzvuhsg5cway's nip-05 uses the official SimpleX domain, so it's the correct one. This is a better indicator than any followers count.

The other one is an account from a Mastodon bridge, maybe it also legit, I cannot say.

Sorry again for the poor response caused by my distraction.

Np, and yes makes sense! If the NIP-05 is from the official domain then that would be the best indicator

The second looks like it is linked in with mastedon.

The one that is followed by multiple people you trust would be the legit one

Not always true, an impersonator can easily create thousand of followers.
