So here is an interesting use case for #nostr #safebox

In most cities, economically disadvantaged people go to the library to use wifi which they access by means of their library card. A library employee or social worker could meet with them, give them a wallet with funds, which then they could spend at organizations that accept payments - food banks, dispensaries, etc. The “wallet” would simply be a sticker slapped on the back of their library card.

If they don’t have a mobile plan, or even a phone, they can borrow one from the library and use the wifi. If they go to spend the funds, they only need their library card to present for payment, but can also use the borrowed phone with wifi.

The ‘payment terminals’ (any android NFC device) can be additionally configured to only accept nfc tags from trusted issuers, but the actual wallet is open to the whole lightning network.

To be clear, I am aiming for 100% inclusion with full dignity for the individual while having the best security possible for the situation at hand.
