Its from some wild fires in Canada. I'm in Lehigh Valley and it was a mess here with smoke last night

More controlled burns and clearing of forests would help mitigate these insane fires but the excuse will be money.
Humans trying to tell nature what to do always fails. How we manage water is worse. They’re so fucked in the south west but at least you can play golf year round 🙄

I know where it's coming from 😉 Yes, the whole region is fucked at the moment because of the wild fires in Canada. Normally, this part of PA would be 30's or 40's AQI. It would smell like summer outside with fresh, clean air. Now it smells like dirt and metal.

I'm in Virginia just south and west of DC. Pretty bad here, I had caught the news, so wasn't horribly surprised, but I didn't expect it to smell... I don't know, chemical-like? In the past when I've gotten whiffs of distant forest fires, it's still smelled vaguely of campfires.
Also, I'm totally using it as an excuse for why I had a brief unplanned walk during my run this morning.
right. it's very dirty, almost metal-like smell. chemically is a good one too.
