I use amber on android.

You mean this? For nsec management? https://amber.app/

No no sorry I should have included a link with the original post. This is what I use.

That makes more sense. All the best stuff is missing from the app stores, which is probably for the best.

I keep it updated via obtainium.

Wait. Do I need to be smart to install this. I'm confused.

Lol no. Scroll to the very bottom and look for the releases page and then grab the APK.

Here. If you dont know what version to grab just grab the universal APK

Thank you.

No problem. Probably should have just posted that link from the get go. 😅

I installed it but I dont know what it does. I'm on the part of the curve that like to try things and has no idea what their doing.

So if you use an app like Amethyst or Yana (I'm not sure what other apps support it currently.) You can choose to log in with amber.

You load your nsec into amber and it acts as a signing device like NOS2X on your browser.

Okay. I get it now. I figured it was something like that. I just need to log back into amethyst using amber. 👌

Thanks for the explanation, I've bookmarked it. And will do a bit more reading on general "how to install APKs" at some point!
