Sort of a tangent, but this is one thing I tell young lawyers and law students is to resist with every fiber of their being the tendancy for law school and the practice of law to flatten your personality. Remain playful, go into hearings and depositions cheerful, at a minimum it throws off opposing counsel when you're happy. Many hate this. At the end of the day, being a lawyer isn't an identity, it's just your fucking job.
