An honest money resists debasement and politicization by governments, for one.
Ok but bitcoin stakeholders (and others) could also manipulate the price of bitcoin. What is the line for debasement?
Sure, lots of factors can impact the price of Bitcoin, but that’s natural. I’m specifically referring to the ability of a government to create (or print) more currency or fraudulently and surreptitiously weaken its value.
