I'm convinced that if we legalized lane splitting and filtering at red lights in cities in the US it would dramatically reduce traffic as more people would buy scooters and motorcycles.
Every Asian country that does this has way less traffic.

Its legal in California. I grew up in LA where the weather allows riding 300+ days per year. There's still lots of traffic.

Riding in San Diego is great though.
I never had a bike when I lived in CA, but it makes a lot of sense.
I wonder if economic reality is going to push a lot more people onto two wheels over the coming years.
