Family roadtrip vacation ideas. Let me hear your ideas from Cen.TX driving. I can do 7-10 days and I have a reasonable budget.

Me, two tweeners and the ole ball n' chain (joke...te amo sweetheart). All relatively fit, active and able.

I do want to get out of Texas, see some different terrain, relax and engage the family. Not into big cities really.

I'm on the lookout for ZAPworthy comments!

Big Bend or Guadalupe National Park (highest peak in TX) which is also close to Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico.

If you’ve never been to the four corners area I highly recommend it. You could take a detour and hike through the Santa Fe national forest and camp out and then see Cliff Palace in Mesa Verde, CO as you loop back. If you have toys with you you could stop through the great sand dunes park near monte vista. The pueblos are cool but try to avoid the reservations if you can and stay topped off. 🤙

The more I look at this route the more I want to go myself! 🤣🤣🤣 there’s a ton of cool stuff in that region. When you see the purple sunsets you’ll know why I recommended it. 🤙

Grand Canyon and Utah. Southern Utah is full of stuff!

Go canyoneering! Great day trip for an active bunch. We loved it!

Sequoia national park is absolutely amazing so is the redwood forest

Holy shit I love road trips we love stopping at all the cool little places along the way as well

We usually travel one direction on a fairly set schedule and the other direction all Willy Nilly with a very loose plan maybe barely a plan

Have you been to Yellowstone or glacier park?

They get pretty busy in summer but in the off edge times they are empty

The badlands are so pretty as well

If you go to Kansas City, Missouri you have to make a stop at LC BBQ best Midwest bbq ever

Oh shit I’m rambling ok one last thing

Carlsbad caverns is really bad ass my boy is a tweener and really loved it
