In my opinion this is not a valid reason.

There are people in a promenant role who can correctly identify the problems but seem to do minimal research into fixing it.

They can put together well researched YouTube videos or do endless hours of podcasts on Facebook and twitter cencprship but they can't google "censorship resistant social media" every few months to see if there is an alternative. I just did and nostr was the first result.
