I’ve been using tablets for years, and have used Samsung 10, Lenovo 7, iPads of all shapes and sizes.

I’m an Apple person through and through. I found apps on Android tablets were often the same as the phone version, and this ended my desire to ever buy another Android tablet. I also found the iPads retained their price better.

I still have the Lenovo, but I don’t use it, it’s just too painfully slow to be functional.

I recently downsized to an iPad mini 6, from an Air 4. Both are fab iPads, that perform really well. Personally, I feel they just have that extra bit of care and polish over the Android tablets. They’re a smooth product.

We repurposed the Air 4, which feels like a monster now, but for my nostr, email, browsing, reading, or videoing, I find the mini perfect. I actually stopped carrying my iPhone, and it gets left at home to resemble a land line (I’m done carrying a mobile and jumping every time a txt or notification arrives). The iPad slips in my sling, and I turn on mobile data when I need it, and leave it off the rest of the time.

It also works well with the Apple Pencil if you want to use it, and the Paperlike cover gives it a lovely feel too.
