For normal people, following people and interacting is how we use Nostr.

Even for the so called "influencers" on here most have a pretty high following count and interact with other people rather than just posting content and accepting money from ad revenue like it were intergram etc.

There's like a whole community building aspect to it you don't find anywhere else outside of niche forums anymore.
