I've been using a boar bristle brush (with a wood handle) for a while now. My hair is doing things it has never done before. It is hard to describe. But, yet again, I cannot fathom why people gave up better quality stuff for slightly cheaper plastics back at the beginning of plastic infiltration.

Depends on hair and scalp type. Metal bristles are still superior for scalp care. Boar is best for the actual strand, especially if hair type is thick and frizz prone. I have several different types
Ooo, but what I was gonna say is the flimsy nature of plastic bristles can be really good for wet hair if it is damaged because of the bend

Depends on hair and scalp type and also hair state/routine. The reason a lot of women like the cheap plastic ones is the bend. If you have breakage, you don’t wanna use a strong bristle

Well currently I'm dealing with "no brush or comb" and just not brushing my hair at all.
