“Personally, I feel that game prices are too low,” and that's how #Capcom president Haruhiro Tsujimoto responded to press at TGS 2023 regarding game costs, justifying that development cost 100 plus the current price.

Capcom hasn't raised yet to $70 per game.

Considering the poor quality of modern games and code, it's difficult to imagine that the cost of development is increasing, but it's likely that the value of the dollar is decreasing.

At least they are keeping up with paying employees as they deserved.

Japan's government has urged companies, mainly locals, to do their part to fight inflation and this also includes Sega.

That being said, it was also expected that Capcom looks o justify landing in the $70 gaming pricing scheme.

To be fair, Capcom did raise their employees 30% up their base salary last year and have been compensating accordingly on how well their financial performance had being doing lately.

That being said, Capcom hasn't been shy of tactics of immediate remasters at full price just a single generation of distance in the past.
