The way I know that it’s reverted is that my phone starts heating up. 🫠

Had the same problem when using nip-07 extension on mobile browser or trying other native clients apps.

If your nip-07 extension allows you to set relays (such as nostore) then it might be the reason. 🤷‍♂️

Try to explicitly configure your extension or other clients with the same relay config.

#[4] can you share all the third party key managers you have used, and/or clients?

Sometimes there are issues with various apps affecting #damus, as #[5] mentioned

Thanks nostr:npub1zafcms4xya5ap9zr7xxr0jlrtrattwlesytn2s42030lzu0dwlzqpd26k5 I cleaned things up earlier and I'm going to keep an eye on it to see if it happens again. Was saying to nostr:npub1yaul8k059377u9lsu67de7y637w4jtgeuwcmh5n7788l6xnlnrgs3tvjmf that I think I created this problem for myself trying to switch between accounts. If have find something reproducible I'll add more details to that bug report but you can probably close it for now.

👍

When you say “switch between accounts”, do you mean switching between two different keys in Damus (logging out, and logging in)?

No – I was doing it on a different client in the browser. My best guess is that I accidentally overwrote my relay list (new account had default relays and in switching wiped out my older profile's list).

I only noticed it using Damus (when my phone started to heat up 🔥).

🔥 🔥

For me this is really when I set the relays in the Nostore safari extension, the same as in my Damus client, that I stopped having the problem.

https://metadata.nostr.com may help short term.

For situations like this, maybe Damus could backup and cache your profile, follows, and relay list. If it detects that it’s since been changed (possibly by a bad client in an unwanted way), it could warn you and give the option to revert back if necessary.

#[5] implemented a nice feature on nostrgram where you have a historical record that allows you to revert to previously saved states. Helped me out a few times.

I almost certainly created this problem myself when I was creating the profile for nostr:npub1lstr2kmdthkgfuzne8e4cn2nhr646x8jt25szdj7t4wr6xemtuuq3lczsj

I added the second profile to another account on Alby and it took me a moment to figure how to switch between them (i.e. you can't easily in the same browser).

Anyway, I think I have things cleaned up now and I'll keep an eye out for it. A backup/cache might be a helpful feature – even if just only the single previous list.
