How did you log in after logging out?

Or did you never manage to get it to forget you completely?
If you did the clear data stuff and still can't log out, you probably have an Alby or Nos2x extension installed that is keeping you logged in.
I think it’s bugging in some way. I may just use another browser and try again next week when brain is refreshed
