I just deleted a note left on someone else's profile
Can you see it?
#[3]
visible on coracle but not iris - will check again in 24 hours
https://coracle.social/note1zltlwhjdzjlzyk4z0n87lx57832gy56ftm93wjccpgwur9ygk8ds6rfrdc
the Iris.to webapp does not show it but the note still exists on the network and can be seen above in coracle.social - also visible via Nostros
What you post, once propagated, can not be deleted from the network.
Considering implementing a NIP for self-destructing messaging in future.
*adds to ever-expanding to-do list*
*correction*
wiped browser cache coracle.social link above now reads
"Sorry, we weren't able to find this note."
I also am unable to find the user account and thread within which the note was posted (for reference, it was Calle's account at #[3])
Seems there needs to be a mechanism to ensure relay-setup is consistent, and therefore the potential for the network to 'self heal' if notes get deleted or not transmitted to all relays...
Uhmmmmmmmm
