weather has changed in recent years here on madeira... the real estate agent i rented my current place from said that the main change in the last few years here was it used to be it would rain non stop for weeks and now more often it rains from late at night to sunrise and then stops raining all day

it's probable that the same cause is behind changes in the weather there

here for sure it relates to changes in the gulf stream current, which has also caused other stuff like that bad weather a few weeks ago that hit the british isles, and some few years before that i seem to recall they had a hurricane, that was unprecedented in recorded history

the thermal movements and oceanic currents are definitely changing and this will have dramatic impacts in the atlantic. the atlantic is notably the location of one of the largest geomagnetic anomalies on the planet and the way it affects electrical and radiation energy flowing from the sun to us is likely the reason why the impacts on weather of the atlantic, and you are there in a sliver that barely breaks the flow of wind and humidity between atlantic and pacific so whatever happens to us, is gonna affect you on teh other side of the atlantic/carribean
