Usually Ayurveda says to boil the raw milk. Then add spices (such as ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, etc) so it's not mucus forming.
Note that Ayurveda typically recommends cooking everything and avoiding cold, uncooked food or beverages. Water is usually served at room temperature or luke warm. This aids digestion by keeping agni (digestive fire) strong.
Regarding raw milk, typically one would drink a small glass, like 6 ounces and it's drunk alone.... like a snack.
In India, I have seen it given to vegetarian children in the morning before school ... A few extra calories, fat and protein to start their day.
Personally, I drink it at night (spiced) when I'm hungry but don't want to eat something heavy. It warms my belly and then I can sleep well.
Let me know how you like it โจ๐
