I think useless is the wrong word. Useful but for all the wrong reasons.

University certainly didn't educate me; but the bit of paper is very important to risk-averse hiring managers. And parents-in-law.

Sci-Hub, Anna's Archive, LibGen and Nostr are where the education is :)

Right, and there are definitely jobs that require a degree, like doctors, engineers, or lawyers. But most degree programs are just BS, like sociology, economy or communications.

Truth.

And even the degrees that are not inherently BS are often taught very poorly or to unsuited people.

Google reviews are gamed, but are still a stronger signal than any degree.

In-laws got their buy in a few years ago, and I'm past getting hired solely on the merit of my degrees. But I'll check those educational hubs you mentioned, thanks.
