My American friends are trying to convince me and wife not to move out of the USA after 7 years living here, giving me 0 arguments about the country’s current state.
Discussion
Where would you go? El Salvador?
Nah, it’s a dictatorship country
And America is pretty much socialist. If you really want to move, you could go out into the rural Midwest or wherever local capitalism still exists.
I have visited the majority of the states. Yes, they are different but still coming the same
Good dictator is much better than any democracy
Nah, fuck bukele ! He didn’t respect the constitution and went on the second term and killed nostr:npub1wp4wzdvn25ckqxd6v6y46axpdx25hywu2mduhr5r9a5vzq5g7keq332ynk !
He should stay in power 40 years
visit my brother in evergreen 🌲 park he’ll tell you why you need to gtfo USA 🇺🇸 if you just been out there for 7 years . The earlier you dip the better
It's easy to move. It's difficult to build relationships and friendships.
As we say in No Agenda, Connection is Protection.
My wife grew up in the Soviet Union and she is proud now to be an American. She has thousands of years of language and culture plus she has embraced the good things here, too.
Give yourself time.
Personally I'm very comfortable with strangers and I don't make many friends. My wife is number 1 and she has friends who are very good and speak her language. I have professional friends with whom I do projects with and they are a joy to work with.
I hope this helps. America is a reflection of us as any place is. But it's not them, is us. We determine how good our home will be.
I hope you stick around and help improve things...o.w. peace!
Where are you headed? Depending on where you are going I probably wouldn’t argue.
I been almost in every state. And been keeping something on hold in my mind that once we will have a chance to love to whatever country it’s definitely not gonna be USA. Unfortunately! I never regret of anything, only can say that America taught me a lot!
Normies
What do you mean by "current state?"
The job market?
Inflation?
Housing prices?
Where are these metrics better?
In general, everything aligns with what you described above. However, as of right now, I can afford let’s say not to work, buy a house, or run a small business, but that's not feasible in this country given the current situation. The biggest red flag for me was the lockdown, that's when things started to unravel. Now, it feels like Rome 2.0, and you shouldn't invest in it because it's destined to fall.
You're not wrong.
I left Ukraine in 2016! Unfortunately, I had the feeling that the war against the russia is unavoidable! Soon I will be leaving 🇺🇸 and I know that the collapse is unavoidable 😉
I know you're from Ukraine. You can't go back, right?
I can go back! I hold Ukrainian passport an I never applied for the political fake asylum case like the majority of immigrants do here in the USA
Isn't there a war?
So what? If there is war you think I can’t go to my home country ? Lol
i've never regretted it
Some states are nice and culture remains but dont go near any cities. I do worry that socialism will consume every state before long.
If you find a more free country with some stability, I want to know about it.
You don't need to move out of the USA, you need to find areas in the USA that are not poison/woke.
At the base layer, America still has massive resources, state rule of law, aged but functional infrastructure. Except for the issues with Trump right now, the rule of law is still holding on (but by a thread).
And there is a peaceful revolution going on too - that most don't see. Check out the school choice movement. And things like "Convention of the States" -
Look at most other countries and their track record.
Where will you go?
It's not time to leave the USA. Not yet anyway.
Rural areas are definitely much more safer and better than big cities but I’m not ready to move there cause I’m young and it will be boring life there. I am not not moving out this year but I started preparing and searching for other countries. Probably it’s will be not anti bitcoin country.
