I used wood glue to repair a bit that had fallen off of this hand carved mirror that has been in my family since at least 1830.

One day, I will restore it to its original wood finish, but that will take some time, I think. Probably have to sand by hand? I have never restored wood, but I wouldn't do this with a machine. Paint stripper then sand?
