The books are so long you might as well start now. For reference the audiobooks are something like 40-50 hours each if I recall correctly. It’ll take a while to get through them.

The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man’s Fear are 2 of the top 50 books I’ve ever read. I have patiently waited for the 3rd book all these years, faithfully checking every couple months, only to be disappointed again and again… then, 3 years later a spin-off book comes out… back to waiting…
10 fucking years later, a god-damned DECADE later… finally, a new book! Wait… WTF?! Another spin-off??? I refuse to read it, and honestly am just amazed at the sheer gall and complete lack of focus that would see a fucking second tangent story be produced before the next book of a series that arguably could become one of the top in the genre ever written… IF IT IS EVER GOT FINISHED 😤
