There is an old saying that people deserve their leaders.
I’m not so sure. I’ve been thinking a lot about this of late and ask what choices are we the people really given?
In the US, a “rematch” of old men … Oh goodie. Add to that a do-nothing US Congress filled with fools. Just think, in the real world, would a Schumer or McConnell survive long term? No, pure ineptitude would have seen them fired years ago.
In France, it’s always a ‘Le Pen’ against candidate A … and candidate A always wins due to fear mongering
In the UK, a revolving door of nobody Tories rather than new elections.
In Italy? The “anti-establishment” Meloni has broken most of her campaign promises.
The fact is, democracy in the West is in crisis … but not due to its people. Rather, deep state ghouls & entrenched interests warp / manipulate real choice.
It’s time for #WeThePeople to rise up and take back our government. Political leaders need to FEAR the people. It may be time to dust off our pitchforks…
