As a long term Berkshire Hathaway investor, I’m satisfied.
I’m also an avid reader of Warren’s annual shareholders letter. #PureGold (and I do regret never having attended capitalism’s “Woodstock”)
But what many describe as the best investor partnership of all time missed out on #Bitcoin … and #crypto more broadly. Completely & entirely.
Charlie even called Bitcoin rat poison.
No one is perfect, of course, and time judges all - sometimes kindly, sometimes harshly.
THIS is why I so value my kids, their friends & the younger ppl in my network. For they help me see new opportunities, new trends, new passions.
As Bob Dylan sang in 1964 (3 years before even I was born!), “The Times They Are a-Changin’”
And they still do. Times always change.
Thank God.
For change is good. It keeps humanity interested, engaged, evolving.

Within the last 30 days, both Goldman Sachs & Morgan Stanley have issued research with titles such as "Electrify Now" "Generational Growth" and "Powering GenAI".
The bottom line? There is a massive demand for electricity. I mean massive. Beyond comprehension.
I've been a renewables man for decades now but I'm seeing interesting flexgen thermal plays that are truly exciting. It's an exciting time to be in the power development sector. Perhaps the most exciting time in history 🏄♂️

Raoul Pal, Michael Saylor, Greg Foss, Max Keiser, et al empathically state there is no better place to put one’s investment capital than in crypto (#bitcoin, #eth, #sol, etc), as it represent the best asymmetric trade in human history (side note - I personally am biased towards a BTC-only strategy, like some of the above).
So - my question - why would it be any different with one’s career?
- Is your time best served writing reports for an industrial company?
- or strategizing for a consumer products company?
- or managing logistics for Acme Co?
Sure all of the above have societal utility (or not, as one takes massive “management risk” as an employee … heh, I’m ex-Enron after all).
So digging deeper into my question - are roles like the ones listed above - or the plethora of other jobs - the best use of YOUR precious career time?
Perhaps only #AI can outpace #crypto. Raoul calls it the #exponentialage … I don’t think any of us fully understand the speed and breadth of what’s about to hit us…

Perhaps @georgegalloway’s election is the turning of the tide.
Pressure needs to be increased on our (mal)governments.
I don’t expect answers from Rishi Sunak Joe Biden Giorgia Meloni Emmanuel Macron etc. In a way, it’s simply not important as these “leaders” are mere stooges to the real power structures.
But these ‘real power structures’ only work in the dark … and they, too, fear #WeThePeople
There is an old saying that people deserve their leaders.
I’m not so sure. I’ve been thinking a lot about this of late and ask what choices are we the people really given?
In the US, a “rematch” of old men … Oh goodie. Add to that a do-nothing US Congress filled with fools. Just think, in the real world, would a Schumer or McConnell survive long term? No, pure ineptitude would have seen them fired years ago.
In France, it’s always a ‘Le Pen’ against candidate A … and candidate A always wins due to fear mongering
In the UK, a revolving door of nobody Tories rather than new elections.
In Italy? The “anti-establishment” Meloni has broken most of her campaign promises.
The fact is, democracy in the West is in crisis … but not due to its people. Rather, deep state ghouls & entrenched interests warp / manipulate real choice.
It’s time for #WeThePeople to rise up and take back our government. Political leaders need to FEAR the people. It may be time to dust off our pitchforks…
