Yes on mobile I only run via the browser never the app.

2: vinegar, which replaces YouTube video player with a HTML video player

3: untrap extension that lets you configure What is displayed.

This lets me play videos in the background or phone screen off,

Can use picture in picture, never get advertisements and total customization of display. Probably less tracking too.
