Well I'm kind of a, "I don't like change person" so my daily driver is a corsair k95 from 2012. Nearly every led is burned out. When I'm feeling it I keep my dell AT101W right behind the k95, plugged in 24/7 so I can whip it out on demand. Both are only useful in daylight though. At night I have this cheaper RedDragon k5556 rgb thing. Keys are fine, its also completely aluminum so it's very sturdy which is my primary requirement.
I'm really liking those Ducky vintage remakes. Id like to see one that looks and feels similar but has a single color led backlight to use at night. I'm a very good touch-typer but I still like some light. I can re-home faster with my eyes than I can by feel.

Yeah, I'm currently looking at either a System76 keyboard, which seems extremely expensive, and replacing it with ducky pudding cap keys. Or ordering the parts to kind of put together a custom keyboard with Topre switches. (I use cherry browns right now. Kinda wanna swap to silent browns or topre)
I was also looking at "Das keyboard". And I could arguably keep my Logitech 710+ going by getting some replacement keycaps and switches....But the frame is kind of starting to deteriorate......
Yeah the system76 is out of my price range and not my style. I like big, heavy, and durable XD A little light helps too.
My redDragon is brown and I didn't like it at first, but it crosses over very well with the old tell and IBM boards. It's a similar feel so I like it. I do however beat the crap out of my k95. The red switches are very very light. I do like them for gaming but I'm starting to get too old to be good at video games anymore anyway XD.
The browns and old mechs do really improve your finger strength though XD
And I guess in all reality I don't really need Anything fancy, beyond a soft backlight. But all of the ducky keyboards came with, programmable macros and stuff like that. It would be kind of cool if I'm spending more than a hundred bucks on a keyboard that I'm able to use all of those neat features. All the firmware I see for these keyboards are all Windows or Mac though.
I'm having a hard time justifying spending $300 on the System76 keyboard.

Agreed. I don't use macros that often anymore, I have lots of macros on my mouse I use constantly though.
