I just watched BAAN: 大人の彊界 (anime written by anituber gigguk)

The art-style and the animation were good, the voice actors did a decent job (don't be winning any awards but solid performance), and I enjoyed the world he has built.

But I'm a bit disappointed, not gonna lie. I understand that he probably had significant budget limitations, but it felt too rushed, too much happened at the same time, and simultaneously very little happened.

18 minutes wasn't enough time for me to be invested in any of the characters, the main characters Rin and Daichi have very any development (this is why the 3 episode rule exists).

I think of this were a 90 minutes movie, or a multi episode show, I would have seriously enjoyed it, I reckon.

The heart is there, no doubt about it; as is the world building, the writing is good, if it were serialized I'd buy the series.

But the whole package is maybe a 6/10, which is disappointing because it could have been a 9/10.

Same impression. Was too short to form any major opinion. Probably budget constraint. The art and animations though was beautiful.

Just watched the documentary and I really appreciate the effort. It gives the original video a new and different appreciation.

Haven't watched the documentary, but I want to make it clear that I wasn't dissing it. He and the team behind it did a lot of really great work. It's just that judging it objectively, it's at best the summary of what could be a one cour series, which in itself could be an 8/10 or 9/10 if done properly
