Blowater is a ridiculous name, but the execution and idea of a completely DM focused interface is actually awesome.

I've been keeping it open and I only answer messages over there, while Primal and Iris are my main desktop feeds. Cool project.

(blowater.app btw)

blowater.app

It stopped working for me awhile ago. It would partially load two old conversations. Odd. But when it was running well, it was slick.

Well shush my mouth. The app is beautiful.

use blowater.app instead of the link start with deno

I accidentally introduced some bugs several weeks ago and have fixed them now

I agree, I'm also testing it the same way.

The only thing I really don't like is the not standard management of the images, they are sent as events, base64 encoded.

Love the interface and the idea, but the login screen definitely needs improvement.

I want to use my extension, not Alby. And nobody should ever paste a private key into a web app.

💯

Guide recommends “log in with extension” and discusses some of the nuances:

https://nostrdesign.org/docs/how-to/sign-in-sign-up/

Indeed we need to improve the onboarding. A redesign has been planned. https://github.com/BlowaterNostr/blowater/issues/127

It says alby but lets you use others

wtf sorry!!

why is it a ridiculous name

BTW if people are interested there is a sdk supporting the development of blowater

https://github.com/BlowaterNostr/nostr.ts

which has optimised the network layer when fetching data from relays and probably make the app faster

anyway, just wanna let other know that there is a third option besides nostr-tools and NDK
