This is a good idea. And send them a “thanks I got $2 for this!!”
That’ll send the message. I’d do this only once you’re so fed up you don’t care about offending them. But then it’s a good plan.
Problem for me was there’s so much cheap plastic crap out there it’s worthless so you can’t sell and even some donation venues refuse to take lots of it. It’s often just literal worthless trash.
