Just some casual Nostr alpha in this thread, highlighting the journey from the empirical to the metaphysical, ultimately leading to the logical conclusion of Jesus.

It actually just leads back to Platonism ontology.

Mind expounding on that thought a bit for a meat head like myself?

Wolfgang smiths -Vertical causality...John Vervaeke's transcendent naturalism...Other than that for the history of Platonism and Christianity and their connection I would say Pierre Grimes has a couple great videos outlining it about the false dual revelation theory and pseudo-Dionysius etc and how we figured out that Christianity is part of the Helenic tradition and not Judiasm. As far as the ontology and metaphysics of the Platonic(neo included) tradition itself I couldn't even begin to do that in this format. I would say reading Plato, Plotinus, and Proclus are the 3 necessary.

🙏 I have some reading to do.

unfortunately jesus doesn’t have any explanatory power which doesn’t satisfy any level of my curiosity for how the universe works.

Appreciate that. My curiosity is from a different angle on the matter in that I saw Neil’s comment of

“Michael Levin first, then morphogenic fields, then Jesus

That's how it went for me.”

That path for him is so interesting and unique that it’s motivating to read Levins even more. That path could read like fiction or science fiction so that’s what’s curious to me here.

Can you share your path to the logical conclusion you state?

I referred to the thread because the Credit there goes to Neil https://primal.net/e/nevent1qqsq0czl6fmxe8jsl9xs0x77uzpcypxjqlrdkyv0dcgcpwm5efl3hjc0jz7zm

Ill check it out. Skeptical as i am and havent drawn this conclusion to date

Skepticism is important. It’s a personally interesting topic and path for me that I’ve never seen before. There’s likely many holes but seems very interesting to me
